Day 12

So, yeah. I really cannot afford to skip days when I have so few of them left and I'm still behind. *sigh*

Unfortunately, I kind of knew today was going to be a lost cause.

I wasn't at work on Friday, which means, of course, no one did my work FOR me, which means catch-up. I did manage to get mostly caught up by lunch, but of course, stuff came in over my lunch hour. And by the time I got that stuff done and my filing, my boss was dictating (and my coworker is off on Mondays). So, about the extent of my plans to work on my Dan story involved me finding all the myriad of edits I haven't implemented from my editors and downloading them. *sigh*

So, I stopped at the grocery store on the way home, ate dinner while I surfed the internet and then really had to go stop and move that dratted bookcase. I did that and started laundry (also a Must - underwear is low). Then, my sister called and kept me on the phone for a 1/2 hour. So, now it is 10 p.m. and I really cannot sit down and start working on writing at 10. Not if I want to keep my newfound energy (from sleeping three weekends in a row. *sigh*).

And the laundry isn't done yet anyway. I need sheets on my bed. LOL!

So, today's word count is zero. I will be hopeful that tomorrow will provide me more opportunities to get organized and the buzz of having written a story I really liked over the weekend will have subsided so I can get back to Dan's doom and gloom and write more. *G*

I think part of it is that I've had some serious edits coming back to me which I really need to sit down and do (five chapters' worth of edits) before I push much further. There might be changes that affect the next chapters, so I need to do that before I go further. And editing isn't my favorite thing in the world. Especially of my own work. LOL!

Lots to do. I hope I can get the edits done tomorrow in free patches during the day and then work on Chapter Eight diligently when I get home. We'll see how it goes. Oi. *sigh*

So, that's the process today. I feel like I am juggling big-time to try to keep everything at a bare minimum. But I finally had to do some of these things around my house. Absolutely required.

Okay...time to go get sheets and towels and get ready for bed.
