Day 10

Hurrah! So, uh, anyway...

I got up early this morning and started working on the idea I had last night. (Which, at the very least, will be a 2-part story or maybe more. Depending on how this parts goes.)

Anyway...it really just took off on me and I wrote for quite a while.

I petered out probably a little after my late lunch. I wrote a little more since then, but not a lot.

I didn't get totally caught up on my word count quite yet, but I did make considerable headway.

Today's word count total: 4659

Plus, I really like the storyline I've got going.

Seriously, this story idea was a germ in my head when I went to bed last night and really began to take over. When I woke up for a bathroom run at some hour in the morning, it was the first thing on my mind. Same as when I woke up this morning.

Now I am giving it a bit of a rest and hope to possibly get the Christmas story done by tomorrow. (At least, what I'll be presenting to my Secret Santa-ee). The actual story itself (that's developing from this kind of prologue-ish part to it) will probably get done later. Once the ideas have more of a chance to percolate.

I have to say, though, that I'm really, really excited. I think it's going to be fun...and different. *G*

What I'd really like to do is come here tomorrow being completely caught up, but that's 7000 some words. Probably not. LOL!

But hey! I made good headway today!

And lessened my panic about what I was going to write for my Secret Santa story. *G*

And it's a nice break from doom and gloom with Daniel. *G*
