Where does the time go?

It seems like I just posted over here yesterday, but it's been ages. I never seem to have enough time to do everything I want to do. That stinks. :P

Not too much to report in general. We had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner. We went out to eat at a restaurant near my aunt and uncle's house and then went back to their house for my aunt's fabulous pumpkin pie for dessert.

I took a vacation this past week and used up my last vacation days for the year, staying home and trying to get stuff done. I've done some stuff, but not nearly enough, unfortunately. Maybe the next couple of days will make up for the last seven? *G*

I applied to and got into DePaul University. I want to go back and get a degree in some sort of computer related field. Now to figure out how to pay for it... *G*

Other than that, life is just kind of boring and yet stressful at the same time. I went to the doctor's for my annual physical, which was fine, but I had gained weight (ouch) and my cholesterol shot up like 70 points (probably because I hadn't taken the medicine I was supposed to in like a month or two. Gah.). So, now I'm on a different medication, which I hope isn't too expensive. *sigh*

I also went to visit Sue, Dana and Mary in Pittsburgh, which was a fun time, although I had an adventure with my car--driving over something that looked like one of those yellow speed bumps in the dark at 70 mph. I bent the rim of the wheel of one of the tires. I'm lucky all 4 didn't go. Eeek!

Fortunately, my cell phone worked fine and I got the police and a tow truck to help me within a matter of about 15 minutes and was on my way in less than an hour. $170 poorer, mind you, though. Ack! But they were terrific in helping me and things could have been a LOT worse.

The rest of the weekend was a lot of fun. We laughed a lot, had encounters with Frownies, and just gabbed ourselves silly. I enjoyed myself tremendously.

Life ambles on. I have two more days of vacation (which technically aren't vacation since they're my normal weekend) and then I have to go back to work. Vacations just never are long enough! *G*

I am slowly getting ready for the holidays. All my decorations are up save my tree, which I am hoping to get up this weekend. I have up to E on my Christmas cards done, and I'm hoping to work on that, too.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

I'd say I'll do better on keeping up on this blog, but life has been so much lately that I'm doing good to post occasionally here.

Just know I'm thinking about you all! And I am on Facebook, if you know me and want to find me. :)
